Framed colourful artwork in black frame

Lacemaker's Café

from £100.00

This silkscreen print celebrates the wonderful, curved window at the front of Lacemakers Café. The old panes of glass point in different directions, catching various shades of light and colour from across the High Street. The images of lace, originally displayed in picture frames on the café walls, have been distorted and coloured to represent the look of the old glass and its reflections.

Inspired by the interplay of light and the historical charm of the café, this artwork transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. The vibrant hues and dynamic patterns capture the essence of the ever-changing reflections and the unique character of the window.

Through this piece, I aim to invite viewers to appreciate the beauty in everyday scenes and the stories told by the interplay of light and colour. The print is a celebration of history, craftsmanship, and the hidden details that make our surroundings special.
